These traditionally styled braided 8 plait natural rawhide leather romel reins are a great length and weight with knotted bit ends and a popper end for added motivation for your horse. They are in new unused condition and have measure a 9 feet 2 inches long from the bit to the popper. The reins are 51 inches in length by a little more than 5/8 inches in diameter with a 59 inch long romal. The braiding pattern is typically called "California Knots" and features alternating large buttons between five braided rings. This is a substantial pair of reins weighing 1 pound 10 ounces and measuring a little over 9 feet long.

Rawhide offers a comfortable weight with and the uniquely weaved buttons and patterns provide detailed accents for a polished finish. Historically associated with the vaquero tradition of Western riding, romal reins are most commonly used in modern Western Ranch Riding and Ranch Pleasure in addition to equitation, as well as reining, and other working cowhorse events.
