UPDATE: Joiner now has a motor (1/4hp Delta motor from the same time period and a homebuilt stand. All this makes for a fantastic running joiner thar hums beautifully when on. Solid steel 4" joiner. You couldn''t duplicate this item for $1000 dollars. This is truely how all tools should be made. Im not sure how many of these are still around, but i know it''s an antique that runs like it''s new. Very, very accurate. I have taken this apart right down to each screw and single part. Everything was cleaned and checked against original specs. Every part was painted with 3 coats, and bearings were changed with new ones. This is what I enjoy doing, so time was not a concern, only that it was better than new and had the amazing accuracy of the original tool. I hate to let it go, but I have other items needing the same attention.
