Vintage Rodger’s & Brothers tea and coffee set. The teapot and creamer and sugar bowl, are Rodger’s& brothers # 153 5072D, the coffee pot is WM Rodger’s 800 Silver plate and the platter, which weighs 10lbs alone is marked 1538 EPC and has a lion passant facing left, which generally means English sterling, but the EPC stands for silver over copper plate. It is a very well made platter with grape motifs on the handles and feet, intricate etching design on top center.
The teapot sugar bowl and creamer are stamped rogers & bros 153 5072D. Gorgeous triple plated pieces when polished are extremely difficult to tell the difference between them and sterling as the quality of workmanship is superb. The coffee pot is Rodger’s 800 and simple elegance. The set blends together very well and would be the envy of your guest at your next tea or formal dinner.
